How Big are your thoughts?
The Quiet Room™ | It All Starts in the Mind
The Bible says, “As a man thinks, so is he.”
Elaine, who do you think you are?
That was the question echoing in my heart today.
I had a conversation with a doctor who asked me countless questions. At the end, he told me my pelvis was not aligned. And because my pelvis was out of alignment, the whole connection between my mind and my body was disrupted. I could take all the supplements, all the medication, all the therapy, but until my alignment was corrected, nothing would fully work.
It struck me deeply. Because isn’t that just like life? When our inner alignment is off, nothing else functions the way it should.
Later, I scrolled on TikTok and heard a woman share how she reclaimed her life when she gave everything back to God. And in that moment, something inside of me shifted. I realised I had been carrying this weight for too long — the weight of mobility issues, the wheelchair, the braces, the pain. My tired was tired. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
So I made a decision: I am surrendering everything back to God. My body, my healing, my mobility. This is not who I am. I was not designed to live broken, bound, or diminished. I was designed to live whole, strong, and in alignment with His will.
And as I prayed, God reminded me: prayer alone is not enough. To stay aligned, I also need discipline and systems. Everything in life has a system — family, money, leadership, even the way we walk with God. Prayer opens the door, but discipline keeps you on the path. Alignment requires both surrender and structure.
And just as I was praying about this, something remarkable happened. I have been trying to get hold of this doctor for ages with no success. But today, out of nowhere, he called me and we actually spoke. I knew in that moment that God was showing me something. Prayer positions us, but it is God’s timing that releases the answer. He doesn’t always hand us the outcome — sometimes He gives us direction. And when we are aligned, we are ready to receive it.
Leadership Lessons
1. Alignment comes before assignment
If your inner world is not aligned, your leadership will always feel out of sync.
2. Mental battles shape leadership outcomes
The stories you tell yourself in your mind will eventually play out in your influence.
3. Prayer must be partnered with discipline
Prayer gives revelation, but systems provide execution.
4. Consistency builds credibility
Leaders who live ordered, disciplined lives inspire trust.
5. Lead from wholeness, not exhaustion
Burnout is not a badge of honour. Wholeness and order are the true posture of sustainable leadership.
6. Timing is as important as strategy
God’s answers often arrive when we’re aligned and ready to act.
Womanhood Lessons
1. Reclaiming identity is sacred work
You are not your pain, your wheelchair, or your season of limitation — you are who God says you are.
2. Surrender is strength, not weakness
It takes courage to hand over every part of yourself to God.
3. The body and soul are connected
When you neglect alignment in one, the other suffers.
4. Wholeness requires systems
Prayer, rest, routines, and boundaries create peace and stability.
5. Step back into joy
Even something as small as putting your heels back on can be a prophetic act of reclaiming your womanhood.
Motherhood Lessons
1. Teach your children about surrender
Show them that strength is not in holding on but in handing things over to God.
2. Model resilience through alignment
Let them see that true healing starts in the mind and spirit, not just the body.
3. Encourage whole-person living
Equip them with the discipline of balancing faith, health, and purpose.
4. Teach them systems for life
Help them understand that family, money, leadership, and faith all require order.
5. Raise leaders who choose wholeness
Your journey of surrender plants seeds for them to lead with integrity, humility, and strength.

My Prayer Today
Lord, align me — mind, body, and spirit.
I surrender every broken place, every tired place, every fearful thought, back to You.
Cast out fear with Your perfect love.
Teach me the systems that bring order into my life, and give me the discipline to work them.
Thank You for the reminders that You answer in Your timing, and that sometimes Your answers come as direction, not destination.
Restore me to wholeness so I can live, lead, and love the way You intended.
And let my children learn from my example that surrender and structure walk hand in hand.
Amen
